On November 15, PipeChina (China Oil & Gas Piping Network Corporation) has officially launched the Feasibility Study for the Chifeng-Jinzhou Hydrogen-Ammonia-Methanol Muti-Pipe Project. A dedicated project development team has been established by the group to conduct surveys with cities across Liaoning Province, aiming to promote the high-quality development of energy in the province.
Project Significance
This project is poised to become China’s first shared-trench integrated transimission pipeline for multiple media, including hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol. It marks a crucial step forward for China in the green energy infrastructure sector.
Route: The pipeline will start in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, and terminate at Jinzhou Port in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province.
Design: It adopts a parallel laying scheme for the hydrogen and the methanol, liquid ammonia pipelines, with a single-line route length of 290 kilometers.
Media: The transported hydrogen, methanol, and liquid ammonia are all green energy sources, making this the nation’s first multi-media green energy pipeline.
