HydraV Supply Fuel Cell Powered Zero-Carbon Data Centers to Amazon

Shenzhen HydraV Fuel Cell Co., Ltd (HydraV), a subsidiary of Vision Group, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) reached an agreement to provide advanced hydrogen energy solutions for Amazon‘s new data center in Bangalore, India. As a milestone in global hydrogen energy applications, this project not only represent company’s leading hydrogen energy technology, but also helps India build the first zero-carbon green data centers, setting a new benchmark for the industry. At present, HydraV and Amazon have signed the contract and began execution of the project, the system commissioning is expected by the end of 2025.

This project signified that China’s large scale hydrogen fuel cell solutions have been recognized by world-class customers and have entered the promising market of data centers. In the future, with the successful implementation of the project in India, HydraV will deepen its strategic layout in South Asia and the global market.

With the rapid development of the global digital economy, the energy demands of data centers continue to rise. According to statistics, the annual electricity consumption of global data centers accounts for about 2% of the world’s total electricity consumption, and it is still growing significantly. How to effectively reduce carbon emissions while ensuring the supply of computing power has become a challenge facing global technology giants and energy companies.

In this context, hydrogen energy storage technology is becoming an emerging solution for green data centers. Compared with traditional diesel unit backup power, hydrogen fuel cells have advantages of low emissions, rapid response, quiet operation, and easy maintenance, making them an ideal solution for next-generation data centers.
